About Lewis Myihtoi
Lewis Myihtoi is a multifaceted cinematographer and musician. Lewis is Kachin ethnic from Myanmar. As he grew up in the Christian family, music is a big part of his life. Playing guitar since he was very young age and at the age of 16, he played professionally with the band. He moved to Australia in 1994 and started playing in many covers bands and original bands. He studied Audio Engineering in 2004 at SAE College and working with many artists on verity of projects. In 2007 he studied for Digital Video Productions and planned to do music for filming. That’s when he fell in love with camera and addicted on video productions. When he graduated film school in 2008, he worked for many productions companies as a freelancer cameraman/editor and in 2010 he started his own productions company called Truelight Studio. He filmed countless events, weddings, live concerts, music videos, educational videos, promotional video, documentaries, etc.
Due to his work demand, he stopped playing in the band for number of years. Even though video productions is his main job these days, he still doing music productions from his home studio. Occasionally gigging in the weekend as a session player.

CINEMATOGRAPHY
Why I really passionate about the filming is that you can create your imagination into visualisation. I enjoy doing the process of the planing, scripting, shooting, editing and finally seeing your craft is a heartfelt therapeutic moment. In the other hand, there are uncontrollable environment like events and weddings, you just go out there and shoot with no room for error. And yet, you have to “Wow” your clients with your final productions.
Both type of productions are challenging and it’s required a great skillset and knowledge as well as the right gears for the job. I have fortunate to work with many clients and countless projects for over decade. I believed a good productions is not only a great ideas, also a great set of knowledge and cutting edge creative tools to support the final productions looks edge sharp.
Specialised in filming
Camera operating - Good with any digital cameras (full frame, crop sensor, mirrorless, 4K)
Steadicam - Use DJI gimbal and Steadicam Pilot for bigger rig.
Drone operation - Use DJI drones
Video editing - Adobe premiere pro is my main software
Graphic design - Use Photoshop, Lightroom and After Effects
Sound design - Great passion for sound and I use Audition, Logic Pro and Premiere Pro.

Hobby
Apart from music and filming, I love travelling and adventure motorbike riding. The best highlight for me was adventure bike trip to Himalaya mountain in India. When I was young, motorbike was mainly for the transportation but these day, riding motorcycles is chasing the beauty of nature and amazing landscape. There is nothing like see the nature on two wheels. You don’t just see the landscape, you are in the landscape. You feel every change in temperature. Every texture in the terrain, every rise in elevations. Not everyone gets it. Not everyone embrace it discomfort through the elements. But for those willing, the most magical destinations can be found in the hashes environments.
The old joke say you will never find a motorcycle park in front of a therapist office. It’s true that riding the motorcycle clear the mind and soul. I’ll be riding motorcycles as long as I can.
